The following SEM photos show the cuticles of two different hair strands. The strands are in knots so that we could locate the same spot easily within the strand. The first image was taken after using conventional bleach only, while the second image was taken using conventional bleach combined with the Uberliss Bond Treatment. Lifted cuticles show the damage done after bleaching. The healthier the hair, the smoother the hair cuticle.
