Six Shows, One Hair Obsession: Uberliss at NYFW
Uberliss returned to New York Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2027 to bring a range of runway hair visions to life. From sculptural braids and metallic details to beachy waves and effortless, slept-in texture, Uberliss products helped leading hairstylists create looks that complemented each designer’s distinct aesthetic.
Working alongside some of New York’s most sought-after hairstylists, Uberliss went backstage at Grace Ling, Sandy Liang, AKNVAS, 6397, SHOWPONY and Eckhaus Latta, creating everything from futuristic statement hair to laid-back, lived-in texture.

Grace Ling: Sculptural Braids Meet Metal Fantasy
At Grace Ling’s Spring/Summer 2027 show, lead hairstylist Evanie Frausto created futuristic, geometric hair to complement the collection’s sculptural silhouettes and signature metallic elements.
The standout look featured ultra-tight fishtail braids with an almost spine-like effect, finished with silver hardware woven into the hair. The result was sharp, graphic, and distinctly futuristic.

Sandy Liang: The Modern Working Woman
For Sandy Liang, hairstylist Dylan Chavles created a feminine take on utilitarian hair, inspired by the way women have historically worn their hair for work.
Models wore sleek, structured styles, including mid-level snatched buns and low, middle-parted ponytails worn partially over the ears. The polished shapes balanced the playful, nostalgic energy of the collection while maintaining an effortless quality.

AKNVAS: Effortless, Slept-In Texture
At AKNVAS, hairstylist Rutger embraced an intentionally undone aesthetic, creating soft, lived-in hair that felt effortless while remaining polished for the runway.
Loose waves, natural movement, and undone updos gave the models a fresh, “just woke up” quality. The key was enhancing the hair’s natural texture rather than forcing it into an overly styled shape.

6397: Beachy, Sun-Soaked Texture
For 6397’s Spring/Summer 2027 show, hairstylist Matt Benns brought a relaxed, beach-inspired energy to the runway.
The inspiration was simple: hair that looked like it had just come out of the ocean, been braided, and then left to dry naturally. The resulting texture felt casual, cool, and reminiscent of long summer days spent by the water.

Eckhaus Latta: The Ultimate Cool-Girl Hair
At Eckhaus Latta, Dylan Chavles embraced individuality with a collection of cool, undone hairstyles designed to feel completely natural to each model.
Slick backs, blowouts, shaggy fringe, and loose waves came together with one common thread: nothing felt overly constructed. The looks celebrated each model’s individual haircut and natural hair pattern while still feeling cohesive as a collection.

SHOWPONY: Hair from Head to Toe
At SHOWPONY, hair took center stage. Created by hairstylist and founder Evanie Frausto, the collection featured dramatic wigs and sculpted hair pieces that transformed hair into an art form.
Uberliss helped bring the intricate looks to life, using texture, hold, and volume to support the collection’s larger-than-life silhouettes. Flexin Hairspray provided lightweight, brushable hold, while Sea Salt Spray added grit and texture. Power Bliss Dry Shampoo helped build the teased volume needed to create the show’s statement blowouts.
The result was hair that was anything but an afterthought: bold, sculptural, and designed to make an impact from head to toe.
