Behind the Hair of NYFW: Aknvas, Elena Velez, Caroline Zimbalist 

Uberliss partnered with renowned designers Caroline Zimbalist, Elena Velez, and Christian Juul Nielsen to create stunning looks at New York Fashion Week. In collaboration with professional hairstylist Rutger, we brought each designer’s creative vision to life, seamlessly blending innovation, craftsmanship, and high-performance styling- all while incorporating elements like scalp care, sleek back hairstyles, and high-gloss finishes. 

Caroline Zimbalist

Caroline's futuristic, sustainable collection featured sculptural couture made from biological plastic. To enhance the bold textures and reflective materials, lead stylist Rutger created sleek, high-gloss ponytails, achieving a polished yet modern finish. The look was crafted using RituOil for shine, Bond Healing Spray for a sleek effect, and Flexin Hairspray for a buildable hold—perfectly aligning with the collection’s innovative and avant-garde aesthetic.

     

Elena Velez 

Uberliss played a key role in creating hairstyles that embodied transformation—wet, raw, and weightless, as if emerging from water. Rutger’s designs balanced structure and movement, featuring sleek, shadowy looks with a punk-inspired attitude and damp styles for ethereal garments. Using Bond Healing Spray for strength and RituOil for shine - the hair mirrored the collection’s essence of rebirth and contrast, seamlessly blending into the show’s rebellious yet feminine vision.

     

AKNVAS

Designer Christian Juul Nielsen’s collection masterfully blended structured tailoring with dynamic texture, volume, and layering. Rutger complemented this aesthetic with sleek, understated styles inspired by Danish princesses who married into European aristocracy, merging heritage elegance with modern sophistication. The polished yet effortless hair featured soft waves, blonde roots, and a natural scalp glow. All achieved using Bond Healing Spray for hydration, RituOil for silky smoothness, and the Flexin Hairspray, reinforcing the collection’s refined yet contemporary edge.
